Ride at your own pace - push as hard or chill as much as you like. The best-of-3 format means multiple chances with less pressure, and stage prizes add a race-within-the-race with high-value prizes worth racing for 🔥.

HOW IT WORKS…..


Step 1: First Lap (Required)

  • Complete one full circuit of your course in order - LAP 1

Step 2: Chip In

  • After finishing your first full circuit, dip your timing chip at the Race Cascadia hub to clock Lap 1 times.

Step 3: MORE Hot Laps 🔥

  • After Lap 1 Ride stages in any order - Strategize

  • Ride each stage up to 3 times

  • Fastest time per stage counts!

CATEGORIES

  • 6 stages for top-level professional athletes, and riders competing at the highest level for $.

    Women’s professional category: restricted to athletes assigned female at birth in accordance with USAC rules.

  • 6 Stages - For advanced riders, typically Cat 1 or highly experienced Cat 2, with strong technical skills.

  • 5 Stages- Intermediate riders, typically Cat 2–3, with some racing experience.

  • 4 Stages - Entry-level riders, typically Cat 3 or riders with minimal experience. Trails will be Blue or green difficulty- with rollable features. .

  • Hot Laps is an inclusive event welcoming riders of all gender identities.

    Professional categories follow standard USAC competition guidelines.

    An Open category is available for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse riders.

  • Pedal-assisted electric bikes on the same stages as annalog.

HOT LAPS ENDURO RULEs

    • Wear your timing chip on your right wrist.

    • Activate your chip with the starter before you begin.

    • Complete one full lap in assigned stage order

    • After your first lap, dip your timing chip to log times

    • Then ride Up to 3 timed runs per stage.

      • Ride stages in any order

      • Best time per stage counts

    • If you want to check times as you’re racing, just dip chip at any time at the rac cascadia tent and see the monitor.

    • You Must Dip your chip one last time when finished and turn it in- $100 fine for missing chips.

      Timing shuts off at 3:00 PM sharp — no exceptions

    • Each stage is brand-sponsored

    • Amateur stage winners are entered into a raffle for stage prizes

    • Pros: Cash payouts for individual stage wins and top 3 overall.

    • Podiums: Top 3 in all amateur categories, top 5- Pro only.

  • Age Groups

    • U15 | 16–18 | 19–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50+ |

    • Racing age = age on Dec 31, 2025

    Skill Categories

    • Pro: Licensed or elite-level riders

    • Expert: Advanced riders (Cat 1 / strong Cat 2)

    • Sport: Intermediate riders (Cat 2–3)

    • Beginner: New to racing (Cat 3)

    • E-Bike : Pro, Expert,Sport; must safely be able to complete all stages

    • Open: Transgender and non-binary riders.

    ➡️ Category changes allowed up to packet pickup (notify staff).

    • Courses released Monday or Tuesday before race weekend

    • Race director may modify or cancel stages for safety or weather

    • Routes will be on trailforks app to follow/ find courses.

    • E bike racers are allowed on the Pro / Expert course, & Sport course. Please respect beginners.

    • Pedal-assist only

    • Max motor output: 630W

    • Power cuts at 28 km/h

    • Race fair

    • Rider down: If a rider encounters another rider down on course, a verbal response is necessary before continuing. If no response between the  riders is given, the rider must stop and assess the situation. If the rider not responding is injured please call 911 if it is life  threatening, or notify the closest course marshal. If you begin life-saving first-aid, send the next rider down to the marshal. Any  rider who does not stop for an unresponsive rider will be banned from the series. Riders who help injured riders will be given the  opportunity to repeat the stage. To coordinate a re-run you must communicate to a timing volunteer or the nearest course  manager right away to determine the best time and order to repeat the stage. 

      • Failure to assist = event ban

    • Head injury: Rider pulled for the day; doctor’s note required to return

    • Helmet required at all times while riding
