Featuring a relaxed “best of 3” race format, skills clinics, jump jams, bike demos, raffles, and camping, it’s all about riding your way and having a blast. No pressure, no stress — just good laps and great company. At Hot Laps, we live by one rule:

FAQs
Is there camping?
Camping- yes, the field has very primitive camping- grass field with porta-potties and sink, or Kitsap Memorial State Park Campground has power and facilities only 5ish miles away.
Where is day-of event parking?
Parking will be in Port Gamble. You will pedal 15-20 minutes to get to the event site.
How does a person get an invite to the Cool Runnings Invitational?
The Invitational rider list has been pre-selected by Matt Orlando. Pro Riders who want a spot can send an email to Hotlaps@gmail.com about getting on the reserve list if there is room prior to the event. Apologies if we missed you, please reach out if you are pro and want to race!!!
Can I come to the event if I am not planning to race or do the jump jam?
Absolutely! Come one come all! There will be plenty of things to do at The Top Gun Zone outside of racing. Stop on by and enjoy the bike demos, heckle the racers, eat, and ride some of the most fun trails in the state!
Are there a capped number of riders for the invitational and what qualifies them?
There is a rider cap that we cannot exceed due to race logistics. Qualified racers are chosen based on prior race experience. Riders who want a spot can inquire about getting on the reserve list in case we have room prior to the time of the event. We will review your race results which will admit you to the reserve list.
Amateur slalom will also be capper at 65 riders for quality.
Who will we see at the Cool Runnings Invitational?
Some of the top racers in the country are slated to compete at the invitational. Keep an eye on our social media for more information!
Do you have to register for the Jump Jam?
$5 Donation to Evergreen West Sound and a wristband are required for the Jump Jam. No pre-registration. Show up and throw down with everyone.
HOW DO I DEMO BIKES?
Demo bikes are first-come, first-served. Visit the vendor row, sign up at the demo tent, and provide your ID. $20 gets you unlimited demos at the event. Once registered, you'll get the details to pick and ride the bikes you want.
Bring your gear (helmet, shoes, etc.) and check with the vendor for any specific requirements.
